Frankly, test with a smart face and buzz words in the review of simple column with a small per-thousand rubles no sense, it's like a mind to talk about the structure of toothpicks, so I move on to a brief description and impressions, and which deserve primary attention.
Design and everything to do with it
In front of us X-mini speakers, or if you expand the title, X-minimax. Speakers are compact and easily fits in one hand. Columns are exactly two pieces, they are identical in form and in a compact form as a single structure, bonding with each other. Accessory is made of matte, velvety to the touch plastic (soft-touch). Decided to call them columns capsule.
Columns of black, they look interesting: the design is obtained by a such an alloy of space technology from the movie 60-x with something modern. Of the 60-x - ovoid shape bonded columns and brutal mechanical switches, from the contemporary - design speakers (slots) and the bright lights on.
By the way, included a rag bag to store the columns, the thing is very cheap, quite frankly, but useful if the columns do not carry what. Better to stick them in a rag bag, than to throw in a bag or backpack just like that, yet perfectly plastic column collects traces, dust, etc., and the dynamics themselves are not protected by anything except a massive grid, through which really did not crawl through that piece of the spacecraft, and fine dust and harmful elements - with no problems.
Working conditions in two columns, one can simply decouple them, put on the table, and connect to the phone, player, laptop included. And you can still open. To do this, turn the top of each column in counter-clockwise. It turns out looking like a spring in the center of design. The speaker is located in the upper part, which is elevated above the base and if desired the spring.
Each column has a single button (on / off.) And the light with three states: blue (column runs), red (column charged) and no (This column is not working and not being charged). Everything is simple and clear. Button on and off mechanical, not accidentally pressed.

First, the volume depends on the device to which speakers are connected. Also, the quality is better speakers of most laptops, so that a reason to use columns instead of standard speaker is the mobile device.

The most difficult for me to point in any review. But I'll try. Thus, the quality of play. Columns were tested with a laptop Acer Aspire 2930, Nokia 5800 XM and communicator HTC Touch Diamond (connection via an adapter). Impressions from the sound very positive, especially if you do not twist in all devices at maximum volume. If, however, twist, speakers begin plaintive croak, but you must admit that the volume in such a case becomes too high and uncomfortable. Speakers are not designed for disco, so that a very high volume - not their profile. But at low and medium volume sound quality is very pleasant: the sound is soft and yet accurate.

The cost of X-mini -1400 rubles.In the range 1000 - 1500 rubles, the vast majority of portable speakers, so to say that the X-mini road is impossible. Yes, for about the same money you can buy branded acoustics from the SE or Philips, for example, but the sound quality of all these sets will be about the same, so the choice is primarily to additional parameters: design, compactness, ease of use. Although, of course, and the sound quality as possible to better assess, because the setting is a subjective, whatever one may say: someone likes a pronounced bass or drums, and some prefer a soft sound.
