True, MD-7W and compact - two different things, speakers in folded position is quite large, but it does not matter. In short, the editors have done with this thing. Design and construction
As you can see, structurally there is nothing unusual (at first) - two columns, connected by a rubber bridge in which to hide cables. However, not all that easy. Metal grilles that cover the speakers are made of metal and magnetized in the end columns are collected in a sort of thick brick, to carry it very comfortably. Battery compartments are hidden behind a removable lid at the rear, they are easily removed, but to wear them correctly, you need some training. Overall impression of the design - it is beautiful. Beautiful and technologically, at first sight comes the understanding that this is not a trivial thing, to some extent the appearance of even conservative, anything futuristic is not here. On the official website and in press releases written, that the design here in the spirit of the N-series, I can not disagree, next to them would look better than some N81, and not Sony Ericsson W960i.

Management

Sound quality
First, let's say that during an incoming call in case W960i call sounds on the unit in the loudspeaker mode it does not pass, it is logical: you're talking on the phone in normal mode, then play continues. Now about the sound quality. Not much pokrivlyu soul, if I say that here it is best for such devices, at least, for all that I have heard (and this is a long list of portable speakers, both wired and wireless).Volume is sufficient for a complete voice acting rather big room, at maximum volume observed no rattles, and more dense pattern of sound, bass is clear and beautiful. Of course, eventually the sound is strongly dependent not only on the source, but also on the quality of most songs, although the difference is like playing the same melody, copied from the disk into different bit rates (128 and 320 kb / sec), a purely psychological, those are not the speakers. It is ridiculous that I do talk about such things with respect to "some sort" columns from Nokia. But not ridiculous, because money is invested rather big (and it is about five thousand rubles) MD-7W work out with a vengeance.
Because the moment of truth has come, after I nabalovalsya with W960i and connect the speakers to your laptop, in my case it's Sony SZ, by itself it has a pretty average sound system, although it is quite loud. To begin, I connect the speakers via Bluetooth, thanks to software and hardware from Toshiba profiles are configured automatically, the control panel do not have to climb. That said, the system plays louder than the built-in speakers, a sound pattern is more intense, if you want an aggressive, but there is still light, almost imperceptible at the edge of hoarseness.
